What to Have Ready When You Call for a Golf Cart or LSV Quote

A golf cart or LSV quote goes fastest when you can answer five kinds of questions on the first call. Gather these before you dial.

1. The Vehicle

• Year, make and model (Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution and so on)
• VIN or serial number, if you have it
• Gas or electric, and the number of seats
• Top speed: 19 mph or less, or 20 to 25 mph
• Plated for the street, or not
• What you paid, or what it's worth today
• Every modification, with receipts if you have them

2. Where It Lives and How It's Used

• The address where it's kept, and whether it's in a garage or locked structure
• Where you drive it: a golf course, inside a community, designated streets, or public roads
• Any HOA, community or local permit rule that asks for proof of insurance

3. Who Drives It

• Name and date of birth for each regular driver
• Driver license details for each, if the vehicle is plated
• Any teen drivers or regular guests

4. Your Current Coverage

• Your current golf cart or LSV policy, if you have one, and its renewal date

5. Anything Else to Quote
